INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Before running the setup of this repack, make sure you have uninstalled all Sims 2 games including their registry entries (if any) from your system. Make sure that after uninstalling your previous Sims 2 game there is no ”EA Games” folder in your Documents folder (”My Documents” for XP users) because ”EA Games” contains ”The Sims 2” folder which contains the cache and mods of your previous game which could cause the game to crash. This folder will be regenerated for this repack after the first run of the game. DISABLE YOUR ANTIVIRUS PROGRAM BEFORE RUNNING ”Setup.exe” (IMPORTANT) because the antivirus will mark ”Setup” as a suspicious file which will prevent the setup from starting or may run with some glitches.
The same applies to uninstalling
(For Avast users: disable DeepScreen in antivirus settings) After running the setup, click ”Configure”, specify the installation directory and click ”Next” Select the required software (Direct X [included in the Redist folder]), click ”Next” again and finally click ”Install”. PLAY THE GAME VIA DESKTOP CONNECTION by running it as administrator. When you open the game for the first time, it takes some time to start (black screen) and skips the intro video. Please be patient, next time it will start normally and quickly. The game always shows the ”Mansion and Garden Stuff” loading screen because it is the latest expansion and everything is included in it. When you load each world for the first time, it takes a while to load.

It’s like running 10 games at the same time (don’t assume it’s frozen). Just wait and let it load. Always open the game with ”Run as administrator” to avoid crashes/game saving issues. If it still crashes, lower the graphics settings in the game options and make sure you meet the system requirements. NOTE: Change ”Shadows” from high to low or medium via the in-game graphics/performance options, otherwise a black square will appear below your Sims instead of inner shadows… In case you are unable to change the game’s resolution from 800×600 or any other resolution, refer to the provided text file ”Resolution change.txt” to resolve the issue…
