A grief therapist begins telling her clients exactly what she thinks
Regardless of her education and ethics, she finds herself making huge changes in people’s lives—including her own. ”Shrinking” features sharing key moments that defined their characters in season 1 and revealing who did the best Harrison Ford impression. When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel and Bill Lawrence were asked how they managed to get Harrison Ford on the show, Segel said that Goldstein originally wanted a ”Harrison Ford type,” and was made to listen to people like Ford. Segel told Goldstein that they should have taken it to Ford first, thinking he would immediately reject it, but at least other people would know that Harrison Ford was involved in the project, which had other big-name actors interested.
And the rest of the show is great
Eventually, Goldstein spoke to Ford and sold him the role. Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince her, but he cheers up anyway.. Featured in WatchMojo: Top 10 Best TV Shows of 2023 (So Far) (2023). Jason Segel was perfectly cast for this script.
And Jessica is perfect
He has that weird, goofy, confident energy that the role needs. His humor is just right for the dialogue. This is a new breed of sitcom. No real punchlines, just lovable personalities with a touch of eccentricity and family situations that are just a little off-kilter but still relatable.
It’s just impossible
Of course, Jimmy’s behavior as a therapist is completely absurd. You’d lose your license instantly. But we allow metaphorical situations in drama. And we sense a strong sense of choice in this script.
To me, it’s simple and fun
We should appreciate the writers and try to explain the point. The other reviewers were clearly worried.
