The first two episodes were so good they had me on the edge of my seat, but since then they stopped building the plot, continuing to delve into these incomprehensible side stories that were supposed to connect you with a certain character and build a character deeper. It seems like they don’t have a long enough plot, so they try to stretch out the episodes, starting with the first season.

You can afford three filler episodes in a row in a 15-20 episode season, but when you’re going with a 10 episode plan per season and half of them are consumed by side episodes, it just gets boring. My wife went from ”oh my god, there’s a new episode of Silo, let’s set up the home theater, I’m going to make some snacks” to ”hey Silo, do you want to watch it?” At this point, I’m not sure we’ll even finish the season, we’re one step away from forgetting about it.
